Hello, I live in Montevideo, Uruguay and am really interested in learning the Finnish language because it is my desire to visit your beautiful country. I tried to contact the Library last year but did not follow through since my mother passed away two months ago and I have been grieving and mourning the loss. However, I feel like need to move on slowly and keep myself busy with something else beyond work and the daily routines.
I live reading and as a biologist and anthropologist, I do a lot of writing in a few languages including Spanish, my first language. It would be great if you could direct me and inform me of opportunities using this technology to start the learning process. Since Finns generally read a lot, I wonder if the library from time to time donate books that are replaced, in my case grammar, vocabulary, etc that it has to do with learning how to speak it.
I look forward to hearing your comments on my request.

I am sorry to hear about your mothers passing.
Via Infopankki you find some Finnish courses online. There you can also do grammar and vocabulary online. Infopankki is a website published by City of Helsinki:
