Everyone who has an address here in Finland can have the Helmet library card. Only thing is that you need to come to any of Helmet libraries in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen or Vantaa with your ID with a picture and we will make you your library card. We don't send library cards via post so you are welcome to visit us.
To find a job in a library in Finland would be easiest if you contact bigger Libraries directly and ask about the opportunities, these would perhaps be Helsinki City Library, Tampere City Library, Turku City Library or Oulu City Library (situated in different cities in Finland) of public libraries or scientific libraries, National Library perhaps as the first. In Kamppi area the two nearest stops for the mobile libraries are Ruoholahti (Ruoholahdentori, Wednesday 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM) and Kruununhaka (Liisankatu 1, Tuesday 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM).

You can use public Wi-Fi / WLAN in all Espoo city libraries, including the Entresse Library in the Espoo Centre.
Of the available wireless networks choose Espoo_asiakas. No password needed. Just click OK on the webpage you get in a web browser, and you should be online.

There isn't any sewing classes at the moment in the Helmet libraries (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries). Any library customer can reserve and use the sewing machines freely and there is also some guidance available in the libraries.
Of course you can suggest sewing classes to libraries and offer your help. There is sewing machines in libraries under the following web address: http://www.helmet.fi/en-US/Libraries_and_services . Clicking the library name will bring you to the page where you'll find the contact information of the library.
Unfortunately there isn't children's books about diabetes in english in Helmet libraries (Helsinki Metropolitan Area Libraries): children's books about the subject are available only in finnish and swedish. The search on the database of The Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature didn't bring results either.

Unfortunately, The startup owner's manual is available only as an interlibrary loan - we don't have a copy of our own. As interlibrary loans can sometimes turn out costly, you may be interested to know that the book is directly available at the TAMK library (Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulu) in Kuntokatu 3.

You can use a customer computer for printing in any Helmet-library. It is possible - but usually not necessary - to reserve a customer computer online. The reservation system also monitors logging in to the computer. Logging in requires a PIN code that will be checked in the library system.

Karaoke is sung in a soundproof room, that was originaly used as a listening room. Other customers can't see inside. The room fits about 20 customers and you can come to sing alone or with your friends. We have organised a karaoke clubs for younger patrons with library staff supervising. So far it seems that karaoke service is very popular, with many new patrons coming to the music department. Unfortunately I don't have exact statistic at the moment. We'll be making those available later.
At the moment it is not possible to record your singing. It has been however requested by several customers and recording possibility will be available later.
