Privacy is one of the library's core values, so you must be allowed to read, borrow or return books as well as use the library's computers undisturbed. Please let the library personnel know when and where there are shortcomings in this respect.
Many libraries have separate working rooms for researchers, or even large quiet sectors within the library, just to secure peace and quiet.
