Network of Special Libraries and Information Services

The Council for the Special libraries (ErikN) coordinates the co-operation of the special library branch and represents special libraries in the co-operation of the whole library network of Finland. It tracks the development of information and library services, and nominates representatives of special libraries to various projects and working groups. The network crosses many administrative sector borders and through its activities it promotes planning and sharing of information resources and services as well as open access to information.

The special libraries and information services are in public administration, private and state supported research institutes, foundations and other organizations and which are neither university nor local public libraries.

Special Libraries can join the Network by contacting the Council members.
